CSSC is dedicated to thanking our healthcare workers, and to show our sincerest appreciation, we have begun Operation Gratitude and successfully made gratitude bags for the 169 Respiratory Therapists at the UVA hospital.

Design TeamThe website team works diligently to provide you with reliable COVID19 updates, mental health and community resources, as well as ways for you to stay active, engaged, and connected during quarantine.
Nursing Home
Support TeamThe Nursing Home Support Team is providing residents and staff with PPE such as face masks. In addition, our group is also creating a socially-distanced uplifting video and writing letters to the residents.
Fundraising and
Social Media TeamThis team was created to support CSSC at UVA through fundraising and creating awareness about our service projects through social media.
UVA Hospital PPE
Support TeamThe UVA PPE Support Team was created to provide PPE (in the form of homemade non-surgical masks) to health professionals and thank individuals working on the front line of this pandemic.
Food Donation
Support TeamThe Food Donations Support Team exists to address the issue of food insecurity within the Charlottesville community, an issue that has been greatly exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Sin Barreras
Support TeamSin Barreras is a nonprofit organization that supports the Latinx community of Charlottesville. Our CSSC chapter continues to support Sin Barreras through fund raising and a donation drive.
