The website team works diligently to provide you with reliable COVID19 updates, mental health and community resources, as well as ways for you to stay active, engaged, and connected during quarantine.

Carley Whitt and Riley Mitchell founded this website, Community Among Chaos, in response to the global Coronavirus pandemic the world is currently facing. As the name suggests, they started this site in order to create a virtual, physically distanced community as isolation and chaos swept the planet. When Professor Rick Mayes connected Carley with his former student, Jeannie Taylor, who was in the process of starting a chapter of the COVID19 Student Service Corp at UVA, Community Among Chaos and CSSC decided to join forces to pursue their common goal of serving those affected by COVID19. The website team, as credited below, works diligently to provide you with reliable COVID19 updates, mental health and community resources, as well as ways for you to stay active, engaged, and connected during quarantine.
